Our story began in Central City, where Jericho Road first laid its foundation to strengthen neighborhoods and expand homeownership opportunities. From those early years, we have remained deeply committed to advancing community institutions, investing in neighborhood infrastructure, and ensuring that safe, healthy, and affordable housing is accessible to all. As housing costs rise and economic challenges persist, our mission has become even more urgent, and our response more expansive.
In 2017, Jericho Road acquired Project Homecoming, Inc., a local community development corporation serving low-income and working families in the Gentilly neighborhoods. This partnership strengthened our ability to meet the region’s housing needs and extended our impact beyond New Orleans. Today, we are proud to continue that work through new developments in Jefferson and Terrebonne Parishes, totaling a $7M investment in new homes for low-income and working families. Each project represents more than construction. It embodies resilience, connection, and the promise of home for the families shaping their futures here in Southeast Louisiana.”
As we mark this milestone year, we also celebrate the partnerships that have made our work possible. We are especially grateful for Enterprise Community Partners, whose steadfast support has helped us strengthen neighborhoods and expand affordable housing opportunities throughout the region. We also recognize our ongoing collaboration with Project Homecoming, a partnership that continues to reflect our shared commitment to equitable development and community-centered progress.
As we look ahead to the next 20 years, we remain mindful of the national and local funding challenges shaping the affordable housing landscape. Even in the face of these challenges, our purpose is clear. Jericho Road remains steadfast in its mission to build and sustain affordable housing, promote comprehensive community development, and create pathways to wealth that help working families thrive across Southeast Louisiana.
Thank you for being part of this story. Your belief in our work keeps Jericho Road strong and ensures that together, we can continue to build homes, strengthen communities, and create lasting opportunities for generations to come.
As we move through the final months of 2025 and into the holiday season, we move forward with gratitude, purpose, and a renewed commitment to the families and communities we serve.
Thank you for your support, and happy holidays!
