COVID-19 Response – Message from Our Executive Director

Dear Friends,

I hope this finds you well. As you know, our communities are dealing with an unprecedented public health crisis, and our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19). We are taking steps to ensure we can continue to serve you and maintain the health and safety of our staff as our nation deals with the COVID-19 pandemic. Jericho Road is enacting precautions now by temporarily physically closing our offices out of an abundance of caution. Our staff is working remotely. We are only an email or phone call away if you need to contact us. In light of the evolving situation with COVID-19, all in-person meetings and events are suspended, including workshops and Central Circle. Should you have questions, please contact: info@jerichohousing.org.

Though it’s a tough situation, please know that we are staying vigilant as this situation evolves. We will communicate with you regularly and invite you to follow the latest on our COVID-19 response via our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We also recommend that you continue to monitor trusted resources like the World Health Organization, Louisiana Health Department, and Center for Disease Control (CDC) (CDC) webpages, as they are updating their pages regularly and are great sources of information. Dial 211 or text the keyword LACOVID to 898-211 to get help with specific questions regarding COVID-19 or access mental health support. Access COVID-19 preparedness and prevention tips and resources from our trusted partners.

We ask that you adopt strict measures for self-care and health by following the guidelines provided by the CDC, including diligent hand washing, maintaining 6 feet of distance from others, avoiding any gatherings of greater than 10 people, and to the extent possible, staying
put in your homes.

We also encourage you to check on your families, networks, and neighbors during this challenging time.

We’re all in this togetherand will come out as a stronger and thriving community!

Stay well and take care of yourself,

Nicole Barnes
