There are many ways you can engage with the communities across New Orleans and contribute to lasting change through Jericho Road’s work. The investment of your time, talent and expertise are significant contributions to the development and success of the people and families we serve. Jericho Road provides a service experience that educates volunteers on issues that face New Orleans residents. We believe that a part of volunteering with Jericho Road is learning about the communities we serve. Therefore, we spend a great deal of time cultivating a service experience that is lasting and impactful for our volunteers and interns.
Jericho Road strategically partners with businesses, community organizations and individuals to implement service projects that act as solutions to obstacles that many families face. These projects include:
- Blight eradication
- Maintenance of urban agricultural spaces (Urban Garden and Fruit Tree Orchard)
- Neighborhood beautification projects, and community engagement efforts that help to build an informed community.
We also offer an assortment of internship opportunities for college students, graduate students and recent graduates that are interested in affordable housing and holistic community development.
